Heatlift HA

Hot Air Heat Pump

 Decarbonising industrial drying and heating

Heatlift HA is a high-temperature direct hot air generation heat pump specially engineered for industrial drying and heating process decarbonisation.

Heatlift HA heat pump upcycles waste heat from the industrial processes using it, such as humid air, cooling loops or any other ambient and industrial resource that typically dissipate into the environment.

By capturing this low-grade heat, Heatlift HA elevates its temperature to generate hot air up to 200°C used for the industrial processes of drying, heating and cooking.

Industrial heat pumps are the most practical and efficient technology for replacing natural gas, fossil fuel boilers and burners with locally produced renewable energy, supporting industries in their transition towards greener and more efficient operations.

 Key Technical Features

Low-grade waste heat source

Hot Air Heat Pump

High Temperature Hot Air

Extensive heat source compatibility

Compatible with a variety of waste heat sources :

  • Moist air and humid exhaust streams
  • Cooling loops and industrial refrigeration
  • Flue gas heat recovery
  • Process cooling and condensation systems
  • Greywater and otherlow-grade heat sources

Energy efficiency optimisation

  • Maximised COP by direct hot air generation using special designed architecture and standard components

  • Reduced CAPEX by avoiding intermediary steam or superheated water loop and reduced refrigerant-to-air heat exchangers

  • Additional "free" hot water production using cycle's waste heat, increasing COP up to +0.7

High temperature hot air generation

  • Air inlet temperature : Ambient to 130°C

  • Hot Air outlet temperature : Up to 200°C

  • Airside pressure drops : 100 to 1000 Pa depending on projects requirements

Heatlift HA uses standard components and architecture designed for direct hot air generation using various waste heat resources while offering maximized COP, temperature lift, reliability and low maintenance requirement.

 Heatlift HA integration

Heatlift HA is designed for direct integration into existing process steam generation infrastructures, including :

  • Low-grade waste heat recovery systems to maximise efficiency

  • Custom feasibility studies to assess heat potential and optimise operations

  • Collaboration with major EPC contractors specialising in waste heat recovery and industrial site integration

 Why using Heatlift HA ?

Replacing fossil fuel boilers

By generating hot air using the unused heat from the process, Hetalift HA provides an innovative alternative to replace fossil fuel boilers and contribute to the decarbonization of the industry.

Saving operational costs

Since hot air is generated using the unused heat from the process, the final energy consumption is significantly reduced, resulting in substantial cost savings in hot air production.

Delivery hot air with high reliability

Thanks to its optimised system, Heatlift HA produces high-quality hot air with a maximised COP and reduced CAPEX. The integration, by avoiding intermediary steam or superheated water loop and reduced refrigerant-to-air heat exchangers, achieving the desired hot air quality up to 145°C.

Tailored solutions for customers

We also assist our customers with opportunity studies to evaluate waste heat potential and explore possible process optimizations for heat pump systems. Additionally, Heatlift provides preliminary studies to assess the feasibility and estimate the costs of these complete systems before implementing the solution on-site.
